All Things Anne

Raspberry sweet, that is. Today we picked raspberries with some friends of ours. We picked from 7:30 am to 12 pm, then we had to go pick Ben up from work Our friends stayed there for a while longer, I think, and since I wasn’t there I don’t know how much longer they stayed.

We were supposed to go to the Electric Company to practice…something related to our singing recital this Sunday. I’m not sure what we were supposed to practice. But we didn’t go to the Electric Company (they have a community room which we were going to use); instead, we just sang as we picked raspberries. The funny thing was, we picked faster if we sang! So we went through our list of songs a couple times.

We got a LOT of raspberries! Sometime, if we get lemon juice again, I’ll make raspberry cordial (NOT currant wine!) which is very good!

Tomorrow we’re having a garage sale. Our garage is rather messy at the moment, so Joe said “Garage open or garage closed?”

We had Chinese fried rice tonight!!! It was SOOO good. Mom had picked up two big bags of stir fry veggies at Costco…then God, in the form of our neighbor (one of whom the boys work for), gave us that kind of pork used in fried rice! And Grammoo had given us shrimp a while back, and Dad saute’d them with butter and crushed garlic…man it was SOOOOO good! He fried rice with a little bit of scrambled egg and pork, and we ate the rest of the pork dipped in ketchup mixed with hot mustard. I made the rice, and followed a recipe that was supposed to make it not sticky, like real fried rice, but it turned out sticky anyway. I think someday I’ll just have to go to China and get their recipe for rice. (Beth says since I’m short I’d fit in!)

Anyway. That’s the rundown of my day!
