Notable News
Yes, it’s been a long time since I’ve last posted. I’ve started a few, but never got any further. But without further ado, here is a post! (*insert applause*)
Let’s see. First why I didn’t post for a while was because Darren and Valerie were out of commission for a while, and we all were using Mother. Six people on one computer kind of doesn’t work well, you know?
So those computers got fixed…and Joe got his computer (David) onto the network (but we still need to get the netgear working so he doesn’t have to borrow Valerie’s LAN. Joe gave me a computer (Joy), but I haven’t done anything with it except collect three harddrives (one has 640 meg…one has 4 gig, the other has like 4 gig too I think). Maybe today I’ll plug it in and see how it works and get those drives formatted.
Next on my agenda of notable news is Ben and Joe. In the first few weeks of January, almost everybody had a little touch of sickness, but Ben and Joe had it worse…Ben had to come home from work a few times because he was so sick. Mom took them into the ER one night, around eight or nine. While they were gone, and after the little ones were in bed, Eric, Beth, and I made up a funny story. Eric has this truck CB, and he made it into a microphone, and hooked it up to a mini amp we have, and we passed it around. Each of us was a different person (duh!) and told the story from the different person’s point of view. Actually, Eric and I were two people each. He was the bad guy, Fred Meyer, and…I don’t remember who else he was. It was a really funny story, though!
When Mom and the other boys came back, they said they both had a touch of salmonella or ecoli. Actually, the doctor said we all probably had it, they just had it a little worse, and Joe had an ear infection. Antibiotics for them both, plus the doctor prescribed Gatorade and yogurt. Nice prescription!
Then Ben went to the allergist’s (Mom did too, but before Ben), and they found out he’s allergic to a whole bunch of things (including cats and dogs, really bad) and he has a chronic sinus infection. They sent home a copy of his X-ray, and one of his front sinuses was 70% full of pus! Talk about DISGUSTING!!! They said his back sinuses were full, too, and if they didn’t get all the stuff out, it would start eating away his bone structure, and they’d have to rebuild his face! Yikes! So he got a few prescriptions for that. We teased him and called him Grandpa Ben, because he had so many prescriptions!
Really exciting news is that I got my free copy of my novel!! We can’t find the camera software, though, so unless Joe takes a picture of it with his camera, and develops it at Costco, y’all won’t get pictures. :-/ It’s really cool though! I have it on my shelf. Beth, Ben, and Eric have read it already.
Eric finished it and gave it to me and said “Anne, I have one big gripe with your book…”
“What?”
“The only person who died, died PEACEFULLY!!!” (Oh…what a gripe!)
Last week we gave Daisy away…she was getting on everyone’s nerves. She thought the front yard and the back deck (renamed to “poop deck”) were her bathroom, and she mauled a chicken. :-/ So…we gave her away to somebody who has only one kid and another English Springer Spaniel. They emailed and said she’s loving her new home!
Yesterday Mom took me to her ultrasound, and we saw the baby in there…rolling around and kicking and waving its arms! Eric says it’ll be a breakdancer!
I know I’m forgetting something, but I can’t think of anything else!
Toodles!
In case you haven't noticed, my name is Anne, but in RL it's pronounced Annie. At this moment in time I happen to be 21 years old. Herein you will find: The rants, rambles, and otherwise uninteresting happenings in the life of...well, ME, you might say.
