Joe’s Baptism

On Monday, July 28th, we gathered together with some friends at Lake Elmo to celebrate the joyous occasion of ’s .

Dad has chosen that we can make the decision to obey Jesus and be baptized or not at the age of 18, which in America is legal adult age. is an identification or dedication. You can be baptized into many things. We are baptized into the way of Jesus Christ, as He commanded. (Matthew 28:16-20) doesn’t save you, it’s just an outward expression of an inward change.

So anyway. Quite a few families showed up, which was very nice. Here’s some pictures (all can be viewed here), and at the end, videos. Some pictures were taken by Mr. H., most by Beth. Videos by Eric.

As they were walking out, Dad’s footing became unsteady and he grabbed onto . “Somebody’s going to get baptized!” he said.

“You can plug your nose.”

“It gives me great pleasure to baptize you, , in the way, the obedience, and the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”

Just the end of the video.

Afterwards, we all came back home and sat or stood around talking until the last family finally left at quarter to twelve. Dad invited everyone to stay for a week like a real Biblical celebration but can you believe nobody took us up on it?? Man…what’s wrong with people nowadays?

Anyways. It was a very exciting occasion and I’m glad I could share it by video!! The first one is longer but worth it.
