The other day Jay asked me for something to eat.
“Why? Don’t you have something to eat?” I asked.
“Yeah, but all they gave me was bread and leafs! And I hate leafs!” (Leafs = fresh spinach)

Today Dad was reading a Cabella’s magazine, and Jay and Rase were watching. They fell to discussing whether Joe got his buck before Eric got his doe, or whether Eric got his buck before Joe got his doe. Then Jay said, “Maybe Dad got a daddy doe!”
I laughed and explained, “Jay, does are girls, and bucks are boys.”
Dad looked up from his magazine and asked, “What are you?”
“I’m a buck!” Rase asserted.
“I’m a lion!” was from Jay.
