I should turn titles off
March 26th, 2006
I can never think of good, descriptive titles.
Anyway. Just finished changing hosts, so if anything is wacky, that’s why. Apparently I also mislaid my default skin’s CSS, so it looks weird anyway. Also, I’m not sure how to get to my new email, and any emails sent to me during the moving period (it came up very fast and I didn’t know otherwise I’d have warned) might have bounced. Sorry about that.

I can never think of good titles either.
I hope you get everything sorted out.

oh! you’ve moved hosts?
so where are you hosted at
currently? (:
March 30th, 2006 at 6:19 am
I’m using a friend for host, who’s using Dreamhost. It’s kind of strange, the order of things, but it works. We help pay his hosting bill, and hopefully I can get some people to buy subdomains so I can help pay for my hosting bill.

Hey Anne!
Interesting…I’d love to hear more about how hosting works. Right now, I used one from my friend, who gets it from his friend. Anyways, Someday I intend to run my own, (IF i can!?) Anything you could tell me about it would be real interesting!
THANKS FOR COMMENTING MY BLOG! woo hoo! Love that! haha
See you on DD!

Anne,
Since I’m hopeing to run a small business type thing out of my site, I’m thinking I should stick with having my own host, even if I end up paying more eventually…. But thanks much for offering, cause, I’ll think of you if the occasion ever arises!
So, on that point… may I ask how much are you paying a year yourself?
Thanks for commenting me!

Anne,
lol, Yup, your right, it just refers you. When my site crashed, and I ended up switching hosts, I lost allot of stuff, including my homepage. So, the guy doing it popped up my old page from before I had my own domain. Which I was really thankful for. That was nice of him. BUT… I don’t remember my OLD password… So I’m not sure what to do! Ahhh!
I can still do my weblog though! Thank the Lord for small victories!

Anne,
PHP eventually though.
Haha, huge complicated story about the domain/server stuff! I’m not even sure myself!!!? I’m gunna have to take some sort of drastic measure, (haha) and figure it out! lol!
Oh cool! I’m impressed, I get lost in PHP. I only do HTML and CSS. I’m hoping to learn JS next.
How much time to you spend working on your site?
This is kind of fun commenting back and forth!

Anne,
It’s actually a LOT easier to upload things to geocities, but they don’t support as many file types, and all the yucky adds stink.
It’s kinda when I’m in the “mood”. It’s any of my hobbies, I get stuck on one a week… then I’ll not do anything for a month or two!
Thank God for lucky posts! *takes a moment to feel specail before moving on…*
Yup, for the most part geocities should be history. I may keep some short term files there.
I work on my site in spurts, too.
What parts of your site are done with JS?
Holly

Anne,

Since you’ll probably never use geocities…I’ll not… BUT, if worst comes to worst, and you have to use geocities, I’ll show you how to upload more then 5.
It extensivly bothers me if I don’t know every tiny thing about the software/whatever I’m using. (It feels wrong!) I already know how to use all of geocities, and don’t have the nagging urges to dig deeper into the program anymore…I guess that’s partly why I like it.
Do you want to have a career in web design, or just hobby?
Interesting about linking to js… I’ll look at your code after I sent this I think!

PS… Will you explain how you set up the switch skin links to actually switch skins? I don’t know how to do that!

Anne,
So, what DO you want to do? And what else are you interested in?
Alright, let me know when worst comes to worst then. JK
haha, yuppers!

Anne,
Did you do it with CSS?
Oh oh oh! Sounds like we have tons of simular interests! All exept surgeon…(WHY!? yuck!)
I love writting, (what nobody reads: Unattainable.) I love to sing, (Not as a solo: Unattainable) Love my guitar, play piano.
The prince… Yeah, mine making himself scarce, too.
You’ll have to email me, cause I’d love to try to do it!

Anne,
Wind, rain and sky are more my go of awe at God’s master design. BUT, the world needs surgeons! More power to you!
If I find out one more cool thing is done with PHP, I’m trading in my JS course! JK
Where can I get a clip of your CD?
Where is your poem from?

Anne,
I just got back from church, super fun!
Nope, But, I have AIM, hollyberryjoan.
I’m starting my JS course!…IF I can remember my password! I also found my Dreamweaver writes PHP, but I still want to learn it. I doubt it will do half the job.
Tell me when you finish cutting your CD.
What is the next thing your going to do to your site?

Anne,
My parents are VERY generous. I didn’t even ask for help, they just told me! (How cool!?) And yes, I’m wearing a shawl/scarf thing over the top, cause the dress is REAL shiny!
Maybe I can use Trillian for YIM instead of you for AOL. Do you have some information links?
Do I have to wait till the CD release!? I’d love the CD though! BTW, Kit gave me your address… Do you mind if I send you something?
How often do you make new skins?
Holly

Anne,
When I’m done… I’ll wait for the Lord to shout out the next step!
I forgot to answer your JS question…It’s at http://www.sessions.edu. I had to go to school for insurance. Since I like this allot…I chose it.
I like the colors in this new skin! And, check out my new one. MY SITE IS WORKING! *so happy* That’s cool!

Anne,
I found this Saturday: click I’m passing it out to everyone, cause it’s the first JS tutorial I completely understood. haha!
I’ll send you my address in the mail. That will be fun. I like getting/sending mail almost as much as commenting back and forth. haha!
So… now that I know you like music…Do you have a favorite type? Favorite artists?
Holly

Whoops! http://www.golivecentral.com/pages/txttut/jstutmain.shtml is the address… something messed up in my link! (???) haha
April 24th, 2006 at 9:37 am
Anne,
I have heard intelligent people like classical…and I’m STILL not one of them! Haha! But, I like most everything else you mentioned. Can’t stand rap or real chanted music. More inclined to a bluegrass/country/sweet type sounds. I like Michael Card, Watermark and Casting Crowns allot, too. Then… so many others!
What country songs/singers do you like? Do you sing for anything other then your CD regularly?
I can never get people to actually WANT to do listen to my clips, haha. But, I try! lo! This is a country song my grandpa used to sing me when I was a little girl…

Anne,
Haha! I laughed out loud at the joyful NOISE thing. How TRUE was that?
WHAT!? So there ARE people out there that don’t die to hear the amazing sound of Rascal Flatts? What do you think of Lonestar and Diamond Rio? Those three are my favorite non-Christian bands. All three only guys. I prefer guy singers over girls anyday. What about you?
Yup, Johnny Cash. It took me over a month to get the guitar part down! I’m working on Kenny Rogers, “Can’t Unlove You” now. It’s harder… could be YEARS!
What are your favorite specific SONGS? CCM, gospel and country, too, if you wish. I better shut me up… I could talk music for pages and pages and pages!
Holly
April 26th, 2006 at 11:26 am
Anne,
Most of Kenny Rogers aren’t that great, but I like this one.
Bad question! My near 300 all time favorites even change from week to week! I’m trying to pick the EXCLUSIVE ones that never get old…It’s hard!
Country: Just Another Day in Paradise-Phill Vassar, Next to You, Next to Me-Shenandoah,
CCM: Who Am I-Casting Crowns, I Am-Mark Schultz, Knees To The Earth & Mended-Watermark, Things We Leave Behind-Michael Card.
Gospel: Think of a hymn, and it’s my favorite! JK Hymns never get old like the newer music. For some reason I never get sick of any hymn… Wierd! But, true.
What kind of music do you listen to most? What about albums… Do you have any favorite CD’s that you can listen to the WHOLE thing?
Holly

PS. I’m very fond of “Bless The Broken Road.” haha! Sorry!
So, I’m curious, where does the fault lie?
