I Gotta Think
Today we got some really great news…we got Lowe’s gift certificates for a new dishwasher and a new washing machine! (Our washing machine has been broken since January or February–we have a loaner machine!–and the dishwasher has been on the fritz forever.) So Mom and Dad took the twins, Beth, and Tess to help pick out new machines, since Tess does laundry and Beth and the twins do dishes. That left Ben, Joe, Eric, Rase, Jay, Abby, and I home.
Ben and Eric went off to bed–Ben to sleep, Eric to read–Joe was busy on the computer, and somehow the little ones talked me into playing Hide and Seek. I wondered how this would work; between the four of us, the only ones who can count to 30 is Rase and I. (Abby and Jay can only count up to 20 so far.) Abby wanted to count, so the rest of us hid. She sat there for a while, then came to find us. She found me first, and I came out of my spot.
“Now are you going to find Rase and Jay?” I asked, as she ran back to the blue chair which was the designated counting chair.
She settled down and grinned at me. “No, I gotta think!”

Cute Like Me
On Saturday we went to the convention in Great Falls, and us kids sat in the back and people-watched for a while. Abby was on my lap, and after a while she turned and said to me, “There’s a lot of babies who are cute like me!”

Sneaky Little Kid!
Before we went to play Hide and Seek, we were deciding what to do. Rase wanted to play guitar, me play violin, Abby dance, and Jay sing. Jay didn’t want to sing, he wanted to play Dad’s trumpet!
“We can play it, and we can hurry and put it away when Dad comes!” was his sneaky way of thinking!

Archaic Computers
Yesterday I was talking to one of Joe’s and my friends, who was talking to another of his friends. They use a shell (and I would too, if I could!–a shell is kind of like an advanced desktop theme for geeks) called Blackbox. My friend asked me why I didn’t, and I said it caused problems and stuff. Then he asked me my specs for this computer (Darren).
“600mhz, 128mb ram, 12.7 gb hdd,” I said.
“And [Windows] 98SE?” my friend asked.
“Yes, why?”
“1 sec”
“ok”
Then my friend pasted in what his friend had said: “98 SE?! what museum did she break into?”
