Here is a Post
The Weather (The weather is always a good subject, isn’t it?)
We have long been bemoaning the absence of Spring…the temperatures haven’t been much above 60º, and it snowed a week ago or so. Well, today it got up to 85º, and is supposed to be 81º tomorrow! The kids washed the van today–and it rained three times afterwards!
Want it to snow? I know a sure-fire cure: When Dad had his new Ford pickup(s), whenever it got washed, it would snow the next day! Washing the van only makes it rain.
Spring
Besides being nice and warm today, the lilac bush is budding and we have tulip leaves coming up! In town some people have daffodils and they’re so pretty!
Abby
Abby had never had cold cereal before a few days ago. Mom got some cereal free (don’t ask me how she managed!–coupon or something)…Frosted Mini Wheats and Cocoa Dino Bites. Well, somebody gave Abby the Cocoa Dino Bites. She looks down and is like “What are all these brown things and am I actually supposed to eat them?!?” Then somebody made her take a bite and she realized it was better than it looked!
The Cat
I don’t remember if I said before, but one of Pi’s loose teeth fell out. So far this makes a total of three she’s lost…isn’t that weird? They’re growing back, too. Anyway.
Remember couple weeks ago I wrote about that stove? Well, in the middle of admiring it, we were all out in the garage. Then Tess realized what she’d been stepping on–she’d thought it was a little mound of soft dirt. A mouse. My cat kills mice, but rarely does she eat them! (She did once, and…well, that’s another story…)
The Mice
In the garage is an entrance to the attic. Normal attics may have a floor and be used for storage, but our attic isn’t…just rafters and bare insulation. Well, where these mice have taken up domain is over the computer room and over my room/twins’ room. Unfortunately, there’s only entrance enough for mice, not cats, so Pi can’t go back there. She does her best, but…anyway. We had two choices: buy this special kind of mouse poison, or get these electronic mouse-driver-out-of-the-homer things. Well, Mom decided on the electronic thingies (because the boys wanted the mice to go in the shed so they could shoot them with their BB guns), so we went to a feed store last week and got two. One for upstairs, one for downstairs. I was afraid they’d bug the cat, too, but they don’t.
Anyway. (Yes, it’s quarter to one, and my train of thought keeps derailing. Silly train!)
Mom wanted to know how the electronic thingiemabobs were working, so she asked us.
*Somebody said the shed was full of mice.
*I haven’t heard mice in my ceiling much.
*I heard mice in the computer room’s ceiling still.
*I have seen where the mice have moved insulation in front of the hole and away from it! (Goofy mice can’t make up their minds! Worse than females!)
So anyway. I’m not sure if it’s worked or not, and I totally can’t remember the purpose of saying all that or what my conclusion was going to be.
Maybe I should go to bed, eh?
I’m a morning person. I go to sleep after midnight!
In case you haven't noticed, my name is Anne, but in RL it's pronounced Annie. At this moment in time I happen to be 21 years old. Herein you will find: The rants, rambles, and otherwise uninteresting happenings in the life of...well, ME, you might say.

We’ve had those electronic dealies before… never seem to work for us… I think the mice get used to it after a while. Though, I dunno, we don’t have that many mice anymore and we are running one of those(aside from poisoning the last mice :D)

lol Maybe you should have a housecat.
Pi works hard, she just can’t keep up!
First Mom was gonna get poison, but she was worried the cat might eat a poisoned mouse…but she called exterminators and they told her a special kind of poison, but the boys wanted to have the fun so she got the electronic things. Hope it works…I don’t really mind mice too much, but holes in my room are the limit!!

Anne, maybe those mice are females! At least the ones near our room…
