Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, Peter Rabbit, and Benjamin Bunny?

As I speak, I have a little baby bunny hiding in my t-shirt (because it’s so long, it’s folded up over the bunny).

Today the H.’s came over, and of course we showed them our garden! (By the way, my corn isn’t doing as well as Beth’s. :( No green thumbs here…just white! lol) Well, I guess for a while the girls had been wondering why one hill of zucchini wasn’t sprouting. Kate went over there, and there was a little hole, and…lo and behold, baby bunnies were in there! We all went over to see. They thought there were three in there, and fished out two. Then Rase kind of put his hand on the hill and crumbled it a little bit. Then Jay did something and caved it all in. The girls started digging frantically to get the one last (they thought) baby bunny out. Well, they found two! Then Char decided to keep digging, and…she found another! Five bunnies total!

We don’t know if we’re keeping them or not, but five of us girls “get one”; mine is named Peter, Beth’s is named Zucchini, Em’s is Cherry, Kate’s is Kit, and Tess wants to name hers Potter (after Beatrix Potter. There’s five, and so Mom suggested naming four Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, and Peter…she forgot about BenjaminBunny…and Eric said name the last one Beatrix Potter but Mom thought people might think Potter is after Harry Potter!). They are SO adorably cute! One curled up in my hand, it fit in my palm perfectly!

(We can tell Cherry because he has a white spot on his head and he licks Em; Zucchini has a pink nose with brown on either side and he bites; Kit has a teeny little white spot on his head and he licks Kate; Peter has a really pink nose with white on either side, and Tess’ is the last one!)
