The Cute Unattached Ones

Friday, June 26th, 2009

And now, thanks to an “anominous concerned citizen” (read the comment on that page…you know who you are!! ;) ;) ), here’s a little bit about the cute unattached brothers.

This is Ben. He’s 20 (21 in October), has dark brown hair, really cool aqua-green-hazel eyes, and is tall and strong. He likes to work and he doesn’t like pictures taken of him. He doesn’t like technology, Apple (the brand, not the fruit), slow people, and cats. He does love God and family, and likes food, reading, working, food, wearing out clothes, food, working, cutting open various body parts, making knives, black powder, lighting black powder, shooting a black powder pistol, guns, making movies with guns, and food.

And last but not least, Eric. (Of course, there’s the little boys, but these ones are the currently eligible ones. The littler boys will be eligible in oh…about forty years. Mm…make that fifteen. :D ) Anyways. Eric is 17 so he should be given a few years yet…(maybe forty…just kidding!)…at least until after he graduates! ;) He has dirty blond hair (he should wash it! ;) ), hazel-brown eyes, and is also tall and strong, and tan. He likes electronics and posing for pictures. He doesn’t like peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, cherry pie, apple pie, or germs. He loves God and family, and likes not taking very many showers, reading, food, electronics, drawing comics, knives, making movies with knives and guns, tinkering with his Scout, and eggrolls.

Oh, and his sense of humor is a bit odd.

But he’s cool anyways. ;)

Sharing the Joy!

I’m not sure how many of you know I’m doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) again this year, but now you know! Last night I reached 25k words (yes that’s twenty-five thousand) which is the halfway point.

Brief Explanation of NaNoWriMo:
The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write 50k words of a novel in one month. The goal being to kickstart your writing, let you use an idea you’ve been thinking of but procrastinated writing, quantity over quality, quelling your Inner Editor (nasty beast!), personal satisfaction, and whatever other reasons one might think of for committing to write fifty thousand words in thirty days. (For more information on What Is NaNoWriMo, visit the official What Is NaNoWriMo page.)

Anyway! I’ve set it as a personal goal to do 2k a day besides Sundays, which can be catch-up if necessary. It doesn’t work out too bad; especially since I found out I can write 1600 words in an hour, if I put my mind to it!

No, you can’t read this year’s novel when I’m done; it’s really crazy and strange and would take a TON of editing to make into something worthwhile, but know what? That’s ok. (It’s kind of a sequel to year before last’s, The Impossible Wish–which I do plan on editing as that one was a ton better, but…the ideas I had were being used up quickly soo…it kind of got…interesting! in a weird and crazy way!)

On my main page, beneath the picture on the right, you can see my shiny cool word count meter.

And…yeah. Just to share the excitement that I’ve gotten halfway there! Once out of the twenty thousands, it’s pretty downhill. Last year I think I made it to 10k or 20k then quit…but I think if I’d have made an effort I could have continued. Someone on a forum said they had like 22k on November 22nd and made up the difference before the 30th! But anyway.

That’s all. Just a ramble about how cool NaNoWriMo is and where I’m at and why you should be happy for me!

P.S. If you’re wondering…yes, I have stayed up late to finish my wordcount a time or two…or three!

P.P.S. If you’d like to donate…I’d love one of these!!
