Sometimes life is hard work. It's no wonder nobody gets out alive.

About Me

Me! Anne is the oldest of eleven children, born to the same two parents (who have been married 22 1/2 years so far). Her birthday is December 11th, 1986. She shares the day (but not the year) with her brother Joe.
Her good traits are her creativeness; her musical ability (she plays piano and violin, among other instruments, and can play by ear). She wears glasses proudly, being nearsighted and having astigmatism.
She is part Scottish, and has the temper and red highlights to match. (Listen to an original Celtic song here.)
Her bad traits are that, as firstborn, she is a leader person, although secretly she doesn’t like being in charge. (Not to mention the fact that being a leader is a detriment in a marriage where the woman is to be submitting to her husband.) She has been known to be bossy, but likes to think she’s grown out of it (for the most part). She’s a procrastinator, hence the two quotes on procrastination. She is also irritable, and for the sake of the reader will not enumerate her pet peeves and the rest of her numerous shortcomings–!

Aspirations

Anne is a writer, and someday would like to be a published authoress. She has participated in (and won!) NaNoWriMo-2006. She also would like to be, Lord willing, a wife and mother but if not, she will be a contented old maid and take care of her parents in their old age (and wipe the drool off their face…sorry, inside joke!).

Evolution of a Name

As aforementioned, her name is Anne. In RL, her name is pronounced Annie. She was originally going to be named Britt Ann, but upon seeing her, her parents didn’t think she looked like a Britt, and named her Anne, and pronounced it Annie. Her “real name” is pronounced Ann. She doesn’t allow anyone but her elders and one friend to pronounce it that way, even though that’s how she pronounces her name in her own mind. (Don’t tell anybody!) Her offline nicknames (and she loves nicknames!) have been and are Bugs, Anna Banana, Nannie, Annigale, Ansie, Juan (by her dad!–whenever he wants coffee), and Yonnie, and her online nicknames are Shirley, pianogal86, annethecat, Dopey, NiNi, Miss Mirror, Miss Twin, Miss Snoop, Shortcake, Annisita, and the Everlasting Gobstopper.

Beliefs
Anne prefers to refer to herself as a follower of Jesus Christ rather than label herself with a stereotype label of denomination.
She believes that:

  • The earth was created in a literal six days.
  • Dinosaurs coexisted with men.
  • Some dinosaurs are still alive (and not lizards, turtles, or snakes).
  • The earth is the fixed center of the universe (called Geocentricity).
  • Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead three days later.
  • Everyone is going to hell unless they obey Jesus and repent of their sins.
  • The only way to get to Heaven is through Jesus, not by being a “good person”.

Quirky Bio

Who Am I? Good question. I’m Anne. No kidding. You really thought my name was George? Aw, that was sweet of you, but it’s not really. Too bad. You were probably hoping. Sorry. But anyway. I’m a girl. I suppose you assumed that, unless you thought I was some REALLY strange guy named…George–I mean a really strange guy named Anne. Nope. I’m Anne and I’m not a strange guy. (But I do like the name George.) I’m just a strange girl. And 21. Pert’ near an old maid. But in my head (and in a few others’ heads, they’ve told me), I’m only 15. I only feel 15. I don’t feel grown-up enough to be 21.
I have five younger brothers, six younger sisters, a made-up older brother, and eleven adopted siblings.
I’m also short. Including my Dad and Mom, I’m the seventh shortest, even though I’m the oldest of the kids. I have mixed feelings about it. It’s cool to be different, and I’d rather be differently short than differently tall, but sometimes it’s embarrassing (like when I can’t reach certain things).
I’m pale. It’s the new tan! Actually, it’s because I have some blood disorder from the Mediterranean, where we aren’t supposed to have any relatives from at all! But I guess the Scots were pretty nomadic. Maybe they just swung by the Mediterranean on their way to Asia. Who knows. That leads right into the next thing about me…I’m part Scottish, I have hazel eyes, and have brown hair with reddish highlights. And I have a pretty good temper, too! Said hair is wavy/curly.
I’m a writer. Go figure. You never would’ve guessed, would you.
I love tiny things, especially microscopic beads that make people say “How in the world do you see them to do such delicate work???” I’m also fond of wearing said microscopic beads in the form of bracelets.
I’m also nearsighted (with a touch of astigmatism which I don’t notice), which means if you stand past arm’s length I can’t see you (without my glasses). Well, I can see you; you just look funny. Come to think of it, I look funny without my glasses, too. I can’t hit you, either. So the storal of the whole morey is to stay out of my reach!
That’s all, folks! ♥ ♥ ♥

You strike me as a very nice young lady with a strong personality that you are trying to tone down.
I workto tone mine eown, qlso. Years of living and being a Christian have helped a lot, as i mature
    in years and spiritual growth.
I would like your site better, if the print was in a color darker than pink.

I don’t mean to be rude but, how can you believe that the Earth is the center of the universe when clear scientific evidence proves otherwise? I can understand how people voice against Evolution because despite the overwhelming amount of evidence in support of it, it does have some holes. But yeah…I don’t really get your belief in Geocentricity. I don’t want to debate…I’m honestly just curious what reason you would give for that. :)

  12. Jerry Says:

Hmm, seems like evolution has not a few holes but rather huge gaping chasms. If “science” can be so wrong about their evolution bias, it follows they can be wrong about their other “scientific” bias’? The one thing you can be certain of, humanists always take the exact opposite view of Gods Word. Hmmm… what does the bible say?

  13. Ben Says:

You seem to be pretty cool, a little bit like my sister especially in the areas of musical bilties and in the things you believe. I agree with them also but I’m not really sure about the geocentricity thing.

  14. Rosebud Says:

Hmm. I’m really really really puzzled about your belief in Geocentricity. Do you mind blogging about it?

Cute website. I am trying to locate a Scottish cousin named Chickie. I noticed a Chickie posted a response on your site. Would You happen to be a decendant of the Brown family from Scotland? I am and looking to locate relatives for a family tree and I was hoping that I might have stumbled on a clue for my family tree. My mother used to keep in touch with her Scottish relatives - but since she passed away in 2001, we have not had contact. My Great Grandmother was Jessie Stronach Brown. Any chance that we are we related?
